The Mechanical Engineering Department offers two graduate degrees: Mechanical Engineering MS and Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. The graduate program in mechanical engineering has about one hundred graduate students. The typical time to obtain an MS degree is approximately two years, whereas a Ph.D. degree usually takes about four and a half years beyond the BS degree.
