Dr. Matthew Dawson, CEO of Utility Global, Inc. will speak at the upcoming graduate seminar at 4:00 PM in room 256 CB.
Dr. Dawson received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has more than seventy (70) patents and patent applications. Many of his inventions and technologies have been widely deployed by an array of Fortune 500 companies and internationally recognized with awards such as the 2018 E&P Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation. By the age of 33 he had worked in national labs, managed investment funds, directed companies, and built successful technology start-ups. In his current role as the CEO of Utility Global, a technology spin-out from Hall Labs, he aims to reshape the world’s energy landscape.
