Robust parametric modeling, advanced surface modeling, rapid prototyping technologies, entrepreneurship, light electric vehicles.

Background

Prior to teaching at BYU, Professor Christensen worked as a design engineer for Graco Children's Products and Estes Rockets. He is currently the principle design engineer with Idea Zone Product Development which he started in 2006. He has consulted for a variety of consumer product and consumer electronic companies. In 2013, he started JigaWatt Cycles with the goal of bringing the fun and freedom of electric bicycles to a larger audience.

Background

Professor Magleby joined the faculty at BYU in 2006 after finishing an MS in theoretical Physics. After teaching for the Department of Physics and Astronomy, she completed an advanced degree in Instructional Design and began teaching for the Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments. She specializes in making foundational engineering and physics concepts accessible to freshmen engineering students.
